"The property was good beds comfy we were there to catch-up with friends so only really used it to sleep in . Felt the place was clean but towels smelt of damp & dishes towel smelt really bed .when we came in front door smelt a bit damp think it was coming from drying room & went up stairs there was a smell of cooking & bathrooms wee bit damp smell as well just feel the place need a bit of a deep clean just to make it smell a bit fresher ."

"Room was extremely clean and tidy , bed was very comfortable, amenities were not of use to me . Breakfast was lukewarm and undercooked. Fridge in room was warmer than outside temperature. And the exterior of hotel was hostile on an evening , drunks and homeless in numbers . Police presence every evening . Ad a single male this was not too much of an issue ,but female visitors may find it threatening. Staff were friendly and helpful ."

"The location is perfect. The hotel is an old building but has had money spent on it. We paid for half board, which worked out very good value. We got £35 towards our evening meal and a very good breakfast. My gripe with the hotel is everything is extra, parking £10 a day (we pre-booked through the company running it and it was cheaper.) The swimming pool is extra, breakfast not included in some prices too. However the food was excellent and it I would return. Staff excellent but like a lot of hotels now service for our excellent evening meal was slow."

"From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty in the stunning castle. Our bags were immediately taken to our room in the tower, reservations for dinners, suggestions for hikes and exploring and help with arrangements for our departure in a couple days. Breakfasts were phenomenal and top notch. Breakfast was delivered to our room on the day of departure at 4:30am and our bags taken back down to our rental car. The spa experience was exceptional. The pool, sauna and steam room were spotless. At every point of our stay we were treated with kindness. Thank you to all of the staff for making the end of our trip to Scotland magical!"
