"One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Scrupulously clean, very quiet despite being across from the train station, excellent location for transport and the Royal Mile, friendly staff, many welcoming and personal touches. I am sensitive to fragrances and while the soaps had a scent of natural oil (like birch, not a floral or chemical smell) it was not overpowering. The floors were uncarpeted which also made the room more hygienic. Stylish, with a great view of the city from the top floor lounge. Worth every penny."

"Spet 2 nights in Oct at the hotel. Wonderful experience. Room is spacious and clean, bed is comfortable. Breakfast spread is good and we especially like the chef cooked meals in addition to the buffet. Hotel is located very near the central station and places of interest. We covered all these by foot and was very manageable. Lots of restaurant options nearby too. Staffs were friendly ad helpful. Definitely a place to consider when visiting Edinburgh. We used Uber to the hotel and cost 22 and 37 pounds to / fro."
