106 Jefferson Huntsville, Curio Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"For starters, we stayed at 106 Jefferson Curio Hotel by Hilton in Huntsville as it was central to downtown for walking and it touted a first-rate restaurant called The Revivalist. The hotel itself is convenient, beautiful, and within walking distance to one of the best Italian restaurants ever, Mazzara's. The Revivalist on site is indeed exceptional, where we enjoyed the main bar, the rooftop bar, breakfast, and dinner for our four-day stay. They serve the best coffee, called The Sunrise Blend, by a local shop called The Foundry, so we had to order some when we got home.
The main purpose of the trip to "Rocket City" was to visit the U.S. Space and Rocket Center Museum containing artifacts of the Apollo missions, numerous narated exhibits, as well as an IMAX theater featuring different topics; ours was Our Place in the Universe--absolutely amazing!
To conclude, the front desk staff at the hotel (specifically, Chris and Jackson) were extremely helpful on several occasions, and very kind, professional, and friendly. The hotel is about a 10-minute ride to/from the museum on the freeway.
We expect Huntsville will only grow with all the upcoming construction and space projects planned there. Friendly place, and surrounded by rolling hills. Very pretty. We highly recommend the total experience to everyone. The Nelsons, Nashville, TN (2-hr. drive--take I-65 versus the "back route")"
"We went for a mini-vacation for my granddaughter’s Fall Break. She and her friend absolutely enjoyed the Hot Tub and the indoor pool.
The adults enjoyed the free buffet country breakfast. Delicious. Our waitress was so kind and helpful.
The gentleman at reception was professional and made us feel very welcome.
Quiet area. Shopping and restaurants in walking distance.
We had a great stay."
"Overall, it was a fine stay, but they gave away our room so booked us in their sister hotel right next door. Then it took awhile to check-in because of that (arrived at 8:30pm and didn't get into our room till after 9pm as they sorted out the rate and transfer). The staff was helpful though. The room layout was a bit odd in terms of where the desk was located, but it was on tollers so at least we could move it to make it work."
"The room we stayed in was like a little apartment. It had everything you need especially for an extended stay. It was more than nice for the price I paid. It was very clean and neat. I would stay again here when staying in the area. It is located very near to lots of good eating places and shopping."
"The day mgr ,Poinsettia, was wonderful. We had a handicap room and it was very nice. The only problem was there was no cabinets or drawers to put our clothes in."
