"The hotel was very nice, comfortable and clean. The staff were excellent!
However checking in late at night was a fiasco! The night clerk was not prepared for our bus group of 56 plus driver. Even after I had communication via text back and forth regarding our ETA which changed several times due to bad weather and an accident on the road! When we got to the desk he handed me ONE set of keys! I told him we were the bus group which reserved 19 rooms! After looking around he found a bunch of keys and handed them to me.
I asked him which were the King beds and which were the Queens? He didn’t know! He had to scan each card to find out which were Kings or Queens! Mind you this was at 1:30 in the morning… my group is tired and waiting to get to bed! Add to this that he said I was charged for 20 rooms, we only reserved 19! It took us over an hour to check in! He told me several times that he was new at this job! I can understand that, but he should have had some instructions before hand! Weeks before our arrival I had emailed a guest list with names and either King or Queen rooms. He had the list but it was just the list I had emailed, no room assignments!
To top it off we had stayed there on the previous Saturday night at the beginning of our trip, at that time check-in was perfect, no mistakes! They should have known what to do for our return trip!
I must say that they did only charge me for the 19 rooms that I had requested and in fact comped me a room for that night."
