"We stayed here for our 40th wedding anniversary, and was blown away by the quality of everything, from the lovely helpful staff on reception, bar, restaurant and leisure club, and the amazing club lounge, which is definitely worth paying the extra for. We booked one night in a premier room with club lounge excess, dinner and breakfast and we're shocked at how good the 3 course meal was, there is free wine, beer and soft drinks in the club lounge between 5 and 7 and free coffee/ tea snacks and soft drinks with 24 hour excess, so we took our drinks with us to dinner, the food was outstanding. The room was large, with a super king bed, amazing pillows and very comfortable, the bathroom was clean with a large walkin shower and the toiletries were beautiful, the best condition I have ever used in a hotel. The AC worked well and was very quiet. We had planned to walk around Stratford upon Avon, but we didn't leave the hotel as the seating outside was so beautiful overlooking the river and set in well maintained garden. We definitely couldn't fault the hotel or staff, and would definitely recommend for an excellent experience"

"The hotel is very authentic, with wooden floors through out, steeped in history and very charming. The location is excellent if you do not have a car at your disposal, and the area has lots to see and find to do, will definately be visiting the area , and most probably the hotal again."

"We were given an upgrade to larger room which was ok..but lots of stairs , as third floor and both over 60 lol but appreciated the extra space . Hotel was in good place for visting other places. The meal we had in the restaurant was yummy , i had the fish and chips and hubby had the burger. But breakfast not so good, bacon was hard as was streaky and it was a mix for scrambled egg which was not very nice , tin mushrooms and tomatoes needed cooking longer and sausage and hash brown was ok and beans .Fruit salad was basic was melon and apple maybe 5 grapes sliced in half in it . After restauant being so good was shocked with breakfast feeling so cheap. You also had bread for toast and spreads and yogs and cereal and usuall drinks."
