Congaree is gorgeous. Only established as a national park in 2003 so it's pretty new and not very crowded. Beautiful hiking, biking, camping, kayaking or just for a day picnic. We will definately be back!

My bucket list is to visit all 59 of the U.S. National Parks. So far, we've been lucky enough to explore over 30. Here's one of them. Congaree National Park is definitely off the beaten path with huge Trees for East Coast standards. Canoe or kayak through the park or take a hike through the largest tract of old growth bottomland (not to be confused with a swamp) in the US. The network of Bald Cypress have something called knuckles coming up through the ground. Looks otherworldly.
