For a great vacation beach home on Topsail Island, choose Whaley and experience all that Topsail Island has to offer. This second-row beach home is located on the South end of Topsail Island you will be minutes from shopping, dining, and fishing. Whaley has many surprising extras you will discover from the first moment you arrive. This comfortable and spacious home has a high-sloped ceiling, an eat-in kitchen, and lots of deck space. There is a light and airy feel thanks to the numerous windows and lofty touches.

The large gravel drive leads you underneath the redwood deck to a car parking area, a wet weather entrance, and outdoor shower. The wet weather entrance offers a laundry room equipped with a full-sized washer/dryer for your convenience. Through the wet weather entrance, you will follow the stairs to the first level.

The sun-drenched space on the first level invites you to come in and relax. The living area offers plenty of seating and a lovely desk offers a great space for the student or writer in your family. Also for your enjoyment are two sets of sliding glass doors that lead to the huge oceanside deck, equipped with a grill. Walk around to the spacious eat-in kitchen. You will find the kitchen bright and clean with all the necessary items like the refrigerator, stove, and microwave. A set of sliding glass doors invite you to the deck and provide ocean views for the cook. The first bedroom on this level has sound views and plenty of room to relax. This is the only bedroom on this level, so the guest choosing this room will enjoy the privacy of the spacious full bath on this level as well as easy access to the kitchen for a late-night snack.

The overlook on the second level creates an airy loft feel and the nicely sized windows flood the space with daylight. There are two generously sized bedrooms and one bathroom on this level. The second bedroom allows you to settle down and take in the sound views offered by a large window. The third bedroom offers a private oceanside balcony with great views of the Atlantic Ocean.

House was great kitchen has everything for preparing meals girl who cleaned it we met she was friendly and thorough - only area of concern was outdoor shower area needs weeded - overall great house great location beach 1 minute walk and not crowded at all

Needs improvement

Nice location. Home needs some major updates. , Door Blinds did not work on any of the doors, Deck Railings need to be secured wrong nails used as the railings warped it pulled up the nails, outdoor shower needs attention. Outdoor vegetation was out of control. We had to go buy a coffee maker because the house one was broke . Vacuum cleaner was broke as well . Carpets are heavily stained. The only thing this home has going for it is location and cold AC.

Much better

This was our second time staying at the property and it was much better than the first. Improvements were made to the property. Only complaint is the deck because it slopes and was poorly built. The stairs are very dangerous.

Loved how close it was to the beach! Just a short walk to the public access to the beach. The water pressure was a lacking in both showers. Was lovely to sit out on the deck and have coffee in the morning and dinner and wine in the evening. Parking was very nice. There were a lot of flies everywhere st on point we made a game of how many we killed. Other than that we had a great time and even talked about booking it again next year!! Thank you!

Unpleasant

The listing sites there is TV under entertainment which is correct however there was no WIFI to connect to which should be available. The location was dirty with dust and dried food stuck between the stove and countertop. The linens in the lower bedroom had blood on them. The walls had gross brow streaks running down them. The coffee pot was non functional. Mold in the bathrooms. Both beds that we used are broken. The only thing about this home that was accurate was the view! Shower curtains are used in the main living area which also had mold. The lower bedroom has stained curtains. Definitely will not use Vacasa as a as a rental agent in the future. The communication was horrible! They stated they were sending a Tech out two hours after we checked in we checked out on Friday instead of Sunday and still never saw a Tech to figure out the WIFI which meant we couldn’t do our necessary work without using a hot spot from our phones. The DVD player has no cord to connect to the TV for use and has a DVD stuck it it rendering it useless. Overall stay was miserable because we couldn’t work and couldn’t enjoy the beach due to weather conditions (uncontrollable I understand) but we couldn’t even stream a movie to the TV from our devises because when we tried to hook our device to the TV an error came up saying “not a spectrum approved device. The local “team” was of absolutely no use as they were condescending, rude and untruthful. We asked day one to move to a different unit but deny

Could’ve been better

Pros: -The views! Beautiful views of the ocean and sound! Amazing for being a second row home. -Nice newer decks to enjoy both the ocean and sound views -Beach access is very close. -Lots of windows to let in a lot of natural light during the day or beautiful moonlight during the evening. Cons: -The beds were very uncomfortable -2 of the main doors leaked. We came in to find a wet floor in the living room and master bedroom. Not a great way to start our stay. -Cleaners didn’t clean. The bathrooms were grimy and disgusting. Lots of buildup on the faucet and shower head. Also dead bugs all over the floor and all kinds of crumbs and other things. My wife tried to use the sweeper provided at the house and it didn’t even work. It pushed things around the floor and didn’t pick them up. Also dead bugs in the corners of the ceilings. -The freezer is disgusting. It’s all rusted. -The door knobs/locks are all corroded on the outside.

It's like being in the fifths

We stayed a top sail many times the house that we always rent is up for sale. The last time we were here they started building the new bridge wow look at it now. Had a good time lost a few friends and a dog but our friend showed up with a new dog. Still had a good time

Nice Location

Some important maintenance needed including the inner window blinds will not close in the upstairs front bedroom, dangerous large hole in the deck off the upstairs front bedroom, and no shower head in the upstairs bathroom (we took the one from the outdoor shower). The location is great and beach access is easy however, getting to and from the island is very difficult with traffic congestion. 1 1/2 hours to get to the grocery store across the bridge during the holiday weekend (7 miles or so). The electric grill tends to shock you if you use metal utensils. All the neighbors seemed very nice. The beach is wonderful.
