Mountain Villa is a beautiful cabin located on large private property.

"Mountain Villa is the perfect spot to use as your home base for exploring Iceland. The location is convenient to whichever direction you are headed for the day. The villa is spacious inside and out, but still gives you the feeling of being in a cozy cabin. The hosts have thought of all the amenities you need, with coffee, plenty of towels, and very comfortable beds, and the sauna was a wonderful way to end each day. There's a grocery store and gas station just a few minutes away. We were there with our adult children and everyone loved it -- highly recommend this villa!"

"Lovely, clean and comfortable. Not fancy, but very close to the Geysir. Easy walk there and close to Gulfoss. Staff was friendly and helpful"

"This place was okay-you had to park a ways away from the room. There were some items that were broken in the room (one of the shower heads and a lamp switch). The best thing about it was it was located close to the famous greenhouse tomato restaurant!"

"Property was clean and in a beautiful location. Instructions for check in and out were clear and easy to follow. Very much appreciated that there was coffee and tea available for the first evening and morning. Soaps, body wash, laundry detergent, dish detergent, towels were also available on site. We liked that there were books and puzzles available. We enjoyed walking to Skálholt and walking to experience the Laugarás lagoon and restaurant was amazing. Hot tub was also enjoyable."

"We loved this retreat, it was the last leg of our trip and it was neat to be able to stay in a turf house. Everything there was made locally in Iceland you can tell the owners put a lot of thought in it and the private soak tub for each house was lovely. We got to see the northern lights the service was excellent and the house had a full kitchen and dining table to eat."
