"My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all so nice and friendly, and we liked having the kitchenette in our room. There were two standing fans and a ceiling fan, so we didn’t mind not having AC for a few nights. I liked the pool and the location too!"

"Wonderful proximity to the real town of Hilo. We walked into town everyday and only needed to rent a car for our overnight to Kona and our circumnavigation of the island. Sound of surf and peepers at night was luxuriating"

"Great property managed by customer oriented property owner. Great communication and plenty of tips to enjoy the Big Island. Property could not be located a prettier location and the thousand small touches in the house made it difficult to want to leave and explore the island. "We would have given all 5s except that when we arrived we were not met by a host. We were able to let ourselves in using the lock box key. We discovered the beds not made, trash in the rooms and on the floors, linen in piles and in the washing machine. After checking to make sure we had the correct day and time, we called Charlotte and got an immediate response. She apologized for a missed communication, and arranged for 3 housekeepers to make the beds and provide clean towels. The next day the housekeeper returned to finish cleaning. In spite of our initial dismay and confusion, it was clearly evident to us that even in its dishelved state, this property was/is unique, loved (well maintained), and worth waiting for. So we did, and we are glad that we did! "
