Fantastic stay in this onsen style ryokan. Had a wonderful private onsen in our room, overlooking the river and the lake beyond. Can’t ask for a more perfect experience. Waking up early to soak in our private room onsen before dressing and heading down for the Japanese style breakfast included.

Front desk staff members were very helpful and nice. Cheerful breakfast crew.

We loved our stay in Hikone. The room was comfortable given we had three single beds. The hotel is only a minute walk from the train station and close to dining establishments. It's also a short walk to the castle - which is a must. This was a week into our trip, so we availed ourselves of the laundry facility. It is located on one of the floors, not in your room. It had two washers and two dryers. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

The hotel is centrally located in Hikone. The staff were amazing and so accommodating. A good breakfast came with the room. Free bike rental (just a deposit while you have the bike). Room was clean as well.

The hotel is clean and has free drinks. The price is great as well.

An older building but in good repair. And excellent choice if you prefer a hard mattress, not as great if you like a soft mattress.

Amazing place on a quiet, scenic neighborhood. Sights abound, and a peaceful river running right by it. A little slice of heaven in Nagahama.

Great The staff is very helpful 👍

Everything about this hotel was phenomenal. 100 out of 10

I cannot recommend this place enough! It was so relaxing, beautiful, and the staff was incredible! They offer traditional and local breakfast and dinner that rivaled Michelin star restaurants! It was our first Ryokan experience but definitely will not be our last now. Such an incredible place!

This was a beautiful ryokan to stay. The staff are very helpful to english speaking visitors and can accommodate very well. This ryokan offers you to dine in an intimate setting so you're in a separate room with your guests/partner. Other ryokans have you sit in a restaurant style setting so you're in a large room with open tables. Our waitress and maid was super helpful and very caring for us while we stayed. The ryokan has several onsen locations in the building, they rotate one days the men...

Indeed a relaxing place to stay

The hotel is a bit dated but the location is excellent if you want to ride on the Gozaisho Ropeway. It is right next to the Ropeway station. Moreover and since we booked our room on a Sunday that traffic to the hotel is quite bad as a lot of people were driving to the summit to take the ropeway ride. On the other hand, we take advantage of its vicinity to the station that we are the first taking the ride the next day. Ticket to ropeway riding is sold in the hotel at a discount. The hotel...
