"The Airport was closer to the reception than our room was. If you don't like heights, beware you get out of the lift & you can see straight down to reception & you have to walk along a fairly narrow part with glass on both sides, again looking down until you get into the part of the building with the rooms. Food is typical for around an airport average at best & overpriced. Next time, to hell with it, I will leave home at 03.00, at least I will get a decent meal the night before."

"It is a very quirky hotel and nice to be able to see inside a beautiful old building. We were given a Castro branded room, which was like sleeping in a kids room. Checking in is an overly long experience, necessitating QR codes, ID checks and a £100 pre-authorisation. You don’t often see queues to check in anymore but this all adds up to an odd start to the stay. I’m sure there are nice things to say about Limehouse as a destination?…"

"Dried bogies on the wall right next to the bed, broken remote, other people’s clothes/ belongings collecting in the wardrobe, empty soap container in the kitchen. So much of the room just looked dirty and like it needed a wipe. The outside of the shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, walls, sides, just all needed to be cleaned properly. So much of the room just felt grotty and like it needed a proper clean. Bathroom isn’t big enough to move in. But the swimming pool is amazing, I would come back for that alone. And the cafe attached is brilliant, with nice staff and lots of good options. Also beautiful iced coffee."
