"I was highly impressed by the cleanliness and accommodations here. I loved how the hostess decorated and felt inspired to bring some of the ideas home! From the fireplace in the bedroom to the soaking bath tub I felt pampered. Renee even left a surprise birthday gift for my boyfriend. Very thoughtful hostess who takes time to ensure your stay is awesome! My favorite part was watching the adorable dogs run around on the beautiful property across the street. Hands down would recommend. There is a...

WYE Motor Lodge Duncansville - Altoona

10/10 Excellent

"When you booking the room, keep in mind that you will get what you paid for! For the purpose of having a bed and shower, this is the most affordable hotel in the area, and it did exactly that. Easy check in and out. We stayed as a family with a toddler and there was plenty of space to rest. Location is very good to get to a lot of good destinations and right on a highway, If I had too, I would book again,"

Raystown Country Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"This lodge is a hidden gem! The interior is a beautiful surprise with original wood furniture, fresh decor and comfortable beds. They provide all linens, cozy towels, soft sheets and comforters. Dishes, a convection over, refrigerator, private rooms with queen sized beds. Digital door locks do no keys/cards to deal with. The lodge is being renovated, but no noise was noted. The train is across the street so do have earplugs if you are a light sleeper. In Raystown/Huntingdon the train can be heard everywhere I mention it as people from out of town may be caught off guard. The owners and personnel are so helpful and friendly. They have a restaurant and bar with amazing food and drinks. They create delicious, fresh meals for all to enjoy. It’s a small newly renovated family owned spot that I wanted to gate keep, but am instead excited to share with others looking to support a local family business, to stay in a fresh place with a nostalgic home like feel."

Altoona Grand Hotel & Conference Center

8/10 Good

"The bedroom was clean, spacious and the bed was so comfortable and cozy. Nice and peaceful. This is a pleasant hotel - it has some vintage to it, but is well presented and offered good value. There’s maybe scope to make breakfast a little better, but overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you."

Comfort Inn Huntingdon

8/10 Good

"There was a mistake with booking, and apparently their system said I booked two double beds instead of a king, but the front desk did a great job correcting this. The room was pretty nice, but the toilet could have been cleaner and desperately needed a new seat. One foot on the lid was completely missing and the others badly worn, so it sits crooked. Needs new anchors, too. Getting in the room was like breaking and entering because the door latch needs to be adjusted. Very difficult to open in time when it unlocks and also difficult to shut. Dangerous if you leave your room because it doesn't latch on its own. Otherwise, the stay was comfortable (nice hot shower) and breakfast was great. Loved the crispy bacon!"

Comfort Suites Altoona North

10/10 Excellent

"I was offered this property as my confirmed booking at another hotel was overbooked. Excellent place, hotel, view, staff, breakfast, etc. Wonderful place to stay as I attended a Penn State University Football game. I want to commend Addie the front desk agent, who got me a room, greeted me with a smile each night and was very helpful overall. I appreciated the breakfast lady who kept the breakfast bar full each morning. One morning as sausage and the next was bacon. Thank you again for a great stay."

Horseshoe Curve Lodge

8/10 Good

"This lodge, while obviously a dated property, was well-maintained, clean, with comfy bed and pillows, and a refrigerator better than most motels I’ve been to. It was very adequate for our one-night stay, and the price absolutely cannot be beaten. It was good value for what we paid and we would consider staying there again when in that area. It’s in a nice location for restaurants and/or shopping. The ac/heat unit worked well."
