Amirandes, A Resort to Live

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Amirandes Hotel and would highly recommend it. The hotel itself is beautiful, and our bungalow room was lovely. We especially enjoyed being able to walk straight out and look at the sea. The main pool is huge, with plenty of space to relax, and there are lots of activities available throughout the week. We particularly loved the padel, olive oil tasting and pottery making. I also had the signature massage, which was a full-body treatment. I love a massage, and this was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The poolside team were always so smiley and attentive, regularly bringing us drinks and making us feel very well looked after. The cleaners were equally friendly, and our room was immaculate every day. We ate at the buffet most evenings, but we also visited Blue Monkey. If you are staying on a half-board basis, they offer a €20-per-person credit against the bill, which was a lovely bonus. The food there was delicious. The buffet staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and we especially loved the pancake lady! The morning team were also fantastic, taking our coffee orders as soon as we sat down. Every member of staff helped make our stay so enjoyable. We would highly recommend Amirandes Hotel and would love to return."
Enorme Infinity Beach ex Infinity Blue

"We stayed in a junior suite. Overall the room was lovely and the view over the beach was the best part. As we were in a suite a sofa would have been nice but there was one chair. The staff at Expedia were very good and answered every query efficiently so will definitely be using Expedia again. Also the hotel staff were very polite. The food area were very clean and had a sufficient variety of options every day although there was always a shortage of spoons and cups. Everyone was constantly asking the staff for more of these. Beach towels, you had to pay 2€ to change which was a surprise. There was no bar after 9pm and there was only 2 sofas by the bar to sit after you had eaten. We probably won't stay at this hotel again but overall we had a nice stay."

"Not a fan of salt water pools but that's a preference. Buffet is fine but all 3 restaurants are buffets, would be nice have the Asian or Greek as a la cart table service. Rooms are great but no English channels so take your fire stick. Evening entertainment is hit and miss, would be great to see some more interactivity with the guests like quizzes, competition etc. This is Crete tho! In my opinion the best destination so that makes up for any hotel shortfalls"
Knossos Beach Bungalows Suites Resort & Spa

"My husband and I spent 4 nights for our honeymoon at Knossos. We were surprised with an amazing room upgrade to a sea facing room with a pool, which was so incredible. The food was great, both at buffet and the a la carte restaurants, and every single staff member was so friendly and welcoming. You can tell they just want you to have a great time. Highly recommend."

"Smaller, older hotel which was just the right size for a relaxing break. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Some parts of the property were a little tired but this did not detract from the overall experience. Beach was lovely as was the large pool. Food was varied and of a high standard."

"We had such a wonderful stay at Stella Island. The resort is absolutely stunning and feels like a little piece of paradise. The atmosphere is so peaceful and relaxing, and having the beautiful beach so close by made it even more special. The food was honestly the best - so much choice, everything was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. We were genuinely impressed with the quality of the food throughout our stay. The staff were amazing - so kind, friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. Overall, Stella Island is a truly beautiful place with fantastic food, wonderful staff and a gorgeous location. We would definitely love to come back!"
