"Great location, nice hotel. Breakfast was pretty good. Car parking was limited, only downside was the workman taking scaffold down by the window at 8am. Would have been nice to be warned that this was happening.

"We stayed in the White Swan part of the lodge which is said to be 100 meters from main building. I was expecting this to be in the grounds but it is a walk down the main road which was having road works done so difficult with cases and having to walk on the road. The room itself was clean and large. The restaurant back in the main lodge was small and quaint. The menu was your basic foods such as lasagna or roast dinner all served by a lovely young waitress. Staff were all extremely helpful."
"Really lovely hotel in a great location in York. The building is stunning and the room was really nicely put together. The record player and the pantry were both really nice touches. Would highly recommend."
