"We had a large room on the 3rd floor. Many other people have mentioned the ear plugs on the beds on arrival and worries about noise. When there was live music in the ground floor bar it was a bit noisy, but that did not go late on the weekend nights we were there (weekends include Thursday & Friday for Gdansk). It was very quiet Monday-Wednesday. Some street noise on Thursday and Friday nights, but the double glazing in the room helped with that a lot. The airconn unit was weak, took a long time to cool the room (about 12 hours) - and the in-room mini-fridge was essentially broken so it would not cool.
However, overall the room was a very nice size, the bathroom was good and the breakfasts were incredible. All but one of the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is pretty stunning, right by the Golden Gate at the edge of the Long Street in old town. Many great eating options, short walks to the museums (Solidarity, WW2), or to explore the town. Also close to the airport bus and a major supermarket/shopping mall 5min walk away.
I would stay again, which is my main test of a place - we mostly slept well, and the breakfast range was out-standing."
