Lovely tree-lined riverside walkway between Grassington and Hebden, North Yorkshire. Photo taken from the Hebden suspension bridge.
This is a wrapped steel-cable suspension bridge over the River Wharfe. The bridge was built in 1885 by local blacksmith William Bell, and paid for by public subscription. Made of recycled materials, it originally had a central supporting pier, that was removed when the span was raised in 1937 after being damaged in a heavy flood.
Cottages at Hebden,1973 The bridge is over Hebden Beck.
