"I would rate **El Ranchero Hotel** 4 out of 5 stars. For the price, this is a good, moderate hotel that offers solid value. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, better than at many places where I've stayed. They always seemed happy to assist with anything I needed. "We really loved this hotel! The bed was comfortable, though the pillows weren't very supportive. I was glad I had brought my own pillow. The room is plenty spacious--there was a comfy loveseat, coffee table, desk and desk chair. The mini fridge was far enough away from the sleeping area and in its own cubby that I couldn't hear it when I was sleeping. "Queen size Mattresses were too soft and cheap foam. Didnt give me back pain but I was not comfortable. Front desk staff were unwelcoming and unprofessional. There is nothing around the hotel to walk to. You have to have car to stay here but they still charge for parking. Positives: Large and quiet room and within 10 mins of Manhattan beach."
