5/5 - Excellent
It was good to visit my hometown and former house.

Staff and room were both very good. We spent little time at the hotel and a lot of time at the beach and touring the island

Chris was an excellent host. The lodge is a truly magical setting. Even when there are clouds and rain, it is beautiful. A quiet retreat overlooking the channel between Maui and the Big island. It was enjoyable seeing the routine of the animals each day. We will be back.

It's a fun hotel with lots of amenities to enjoy. However, since we couldn't check in until 4:00 and had to leave the room by 11:00 the next day we had little time to experience the extensive grounds. Beautiful area, lots of driving to see rest of island, we had lots of rain
What a peaceful, happy little town. So happy I was able to check it out.
I was raised there and miss the people and the businesses that were there. It’s all touristy.
The coffee shop in Hawi was fabulous. The grocery store was great and the proprietors there very friendly. Minnie’s restaurant was great too. The Kohala Baptist church was a foretaste of heaven!
