"The folks running it are very friendly and are making a great effort to get this property back on its feet. Don't expect anything fancy, but the price reflects this and is more than reasonable for the quality of the stay. The lobby and exterior need work, so I was hesitant when I checked in, but the rooms are great; I appreciate that they renovated them as the first step in reviving this property. Huge TV, wall fireplace, comfy bed & good bedding, updated washrooms and clean & fresh towels. There is no coffee maker, but they have a microwave (no dishes or utensils) and a good-sized fridge. Bonus: it is right next door to a bar/restaurant that I thoroughly enjoyed, the Thornhill Tap-House (https://thornhilltaphouse.com). All in all, this is a great overnight stop for those travelling through."

"The place was pretty nice. It was clean but could use a general updating. Small rooms and small bathrooms. The parking lot is pretty small to. The location is pretty good, to get main roads/highways and such. The staff was friendly and checkin was easy/fast. The place was pretty quiet."

"We stayed two nights in this hotel attending an event. The room was clean and very spacious but we did not like it overlooking the indoor pool as we had to keep our curtains closed all the time and turn on the lights during the day. I don’t understand why we were given this particular room when most of the hotel was empty during our stay. Also, on arriving the front desk insisted that they did not have our reservation. I booked this hotel a week before the trip and had all the paperwork with the booking confirmation. It took long to get checked it after they finally found the reservation. This should not happen and this is something Expedia should be looking into especially because we encountered the same issue in the other hotel during the same trip."
