This was our third year here and every year we look forward to coming. The accommodations are top notch. The cabin and the grounds are very well kept and clean. Everything you need is there. Brett, the owner and host, is an awesome person. Very friendly and always helpful. Staying here is a very fun and relaxing experience.
This was our 4th year in a row. Accommodations are the best. Always clean and well kept. Everything we need. Host and those who help him are very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to next year.
Everything about the trip was wonderful. Peaceful. Friendly welcoming and extremely private of our time. Very helpful of all needs and pontoon boat was such a great asset to the trp
Our 2nd year renting at this absolutely perfect spot! We arrived this year 2 weeks earlier so met many of campers in the area. They were the highlight of our visit! Just great people! Amazing weather, good fishing, and plenty of good food. Highly recommended. A memory I will cherish! The Henry’s
We 3 old guys were looking for a place on the water to do some fishing and we found it! The cottage was exactly as advertised and Brett and Alice provided great service and communication. We’ll be back! Ken S.
My family asked for a vacation on the water with a boat where they could fish and boy this vacation didn’t disappoint! Brett provided awesome instructions for the pontoon boat and navigating the shoals of the river as well as sharing his secret fishing spots! He even went fishing with us one evening where we caught a whole string of large mouth bass! The house had everything we needed! This was our families first visit to the Thousand Islands and we will definitely be back! Thanks Brett for your hospitality!
This our 3rd year straight year renting here! Absolutely the best time anyone could have! Very comfortable, clean, and homey accommodations. Wonderful people! Great fishing!
The hosts, Brett and Alice, are special people, always very helpful and accommodating. The cabin and property are clean, well kept and everything you need is there. The view is amazing and surroundings peaceful. We love it here.
Check in went very smoothly with Alice meeting us at the cottage and helping us with where to launch our boat and where to put the trailer. I loved the large yard right on the water and plenty of dock space. The cottage was small but cozy and worked out well with our family. Alice was gteat the whole time. I was happy to bring my dog as well. Great stay!
My husband & I enjoyed our stay. Brett was a very hospitable, helpful, attentive & accommodating host. The cabin was cute, clean, cozy & well-stocked with essentials. We love the area & enjoyed our stay.
We had a wonderful time. Brett was the BEST Host ever .So nice so helpful. The place is great nice quiet and relaxing spot. What beautiful sunsets. We want to go back miss it already.
Brett was one of the nicest informative host we have had in the last 7 years. What a beautiful area and beautiful sunsets. Great fishing and so comfortable to do it in a pontoon. Thanks Brett see you next year!
Our family of 6 recently spent 4 days at this lovely cottage in the bay. The owner, Brett, was super accommodating and offered everything that we needed. We took our boat and had a great time fishing in the bay and off the dock. Maybe next time we will rent the Pontoon boat. The cottage was super clean and had everything that was needed. Highly recommend!
Nothing to say but we enjoyed our time 6 adult men for a week. It was a little tight .. Enough docking for 2 large bass boats and 17 ft Fish and Ski. ..It will be a great memory Thank you from all of us..
Our experience was great. Cottage clean and new. Beautiful view of the water. Brett set up a fire every night. The dock for my boat excellent condition. He was responsive immediately for minor issues. We would return in an instant.

Me and my brothers went there on a fall small mouth fishing trip. The area was experiencing a 60 year low on the water level. The bay we were to dock our boat was drained of water. The host lived nearby and was beyond helpful however a heads up about the water and fishing before booking would have made us book elsewhere

Didn’t enjoy the cabin
First - let me say - the most amazing part of the vacation was Alice! Second - let me also add that my sister and I are between 70 & 80. I saw water and the cabin - and thought it was a good place for swimming.. it wasn’t.. too my board and too much algae. The things that made it almost unbearable was the sulfur water. We ended up warming water on the stove to wash with - only took one shower there. It is a great cabin for men who want to relax and fish - not an excellent cabin for older women to chill, swim and enjoy themselves.Love the 1000 islands but won’t book there again.
I keep coming back to this VRBO. All 3 of Brett's cabins are very nice. They are clean and comfortable. This time I brought my family from Colorado. The kids loved it!!! 6 year old and 16 year old both. With the pontoon boat we were able to enjoy the river, exploring this area, swimming, tubing and fishing. The family is already asking me to book here again. Maybe i should do it now as I'm sure he fills up fast. He is a wonderful host! On site for anything you need, friendly and never bothersome.
We had a great stay in this cottage. We (2 adults and 2 teens) had plenty of room to unpack and spread out for the week. The property was well taken care of and the house was clean and comfortable. The off-site host made check-in easy and reviewed everything with us. Kitchen was well stocked and allowed for some on-site cooking. We loved the Keurig brand coffee maker, which allowed us to make a regular pot or just a cup. There were plenty of towels and pillows/blankets. My husband used the shared dock to launch our kayak and fish in the bay. Sunsets were so pretty from the property. We didn't use the fire pit because it was quite buggy, but it is a really nice one with a bunch of chairs. We used the provided clothesline and hammock a few times. WiFi was a bit slow, but our Verizon cell phones worked pretty well. Plan to bring some bottled water as that doesn't taste too great. This property was a great home base for us to see Boldt and Singer Castles, as well as whitewater rafting on the Black River out of Watertown. We also spent a day in Ottawa which was an easy 90 mins away (Don't forget your passports for that.)!Overall, we highly recommend this cozy property for a great stay on Chippewa Bay.
