"I am glad I brought mt own cleaning supplies and a broom, so much dust, hair and what ever else was in the floor. There was no towels provided and a 1/2 roll of toilet paper, the TV didnt work and internet connection kept kicking us off. The electric outlets hung out of the wall and light switched sparked and only worked after several attempts like they were on a shorter fuse or something. We were there visiting elderly family. The underside of one of the chairs had mold and the loft was so hot...

"Worked for our quick half stop trip down south for 8 howeverthe place was not clean and one of the rooms had mold and stains on the ceiling. Unusable and disgusting room. Dust was still all over the dressers and fridge was something I wouldn't put any food. Found a cleaning rag in the bed and the floor in the master bedroom was warping with water damage. There was also a musty smell in the entire place. In the end you get what you pay for."

Elk River Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This is a charming place, with incredibly helpful and kind staff! It does need some TLC in certain aspects, as it could have been cleaner in the public spaces in particular. The bedrooms were clean and neat. The bathrooms, mostly. N."

The Inn at Snowshoe

10/10 Excellent

"The Inn was the cleanest place we’ve been stayed. The bathroom was cleaned, stocked with fresh cleaned towels and toilet papers. The water pressures were strong. The room furnitures and lighting were minimal but dustless. The TV ,Ref/freezer and air conditioning were all working well. We hope to come back soon. The Inn at Snowshoe is excellent place to stay. Consider to offer continental breakfast please."

SKI IN/OUT- Pool table, hot tub, A+ kitchen, 7 bedrooms->4 kings+custom kid rms!

10/10 Excellent

"We really enjoyed our stay. There were plenty of bedrooms to choose from. We appreciated that the beds were either bunk beds or king sized beds. The kitchen was well equipped. There was ample parking. The host was very easy to contact and quickly responded to questions. I especially liked the fun decor."

Log Cabin Stonewall Jackson Retreat

10/10 Excellent

"This cozy little cabin by the lake was very easy to find, very well maintained and the host was very communicative and pleasant. There was a well stocked kitchen, ample towels and linens and a water dispenser for drinking water. The AC worked very well and kept the cabin cool in the heat. The area is remote, so there is limited internet and cell service, but sufficient to make calls and sometimes send texts. (But isn’t that the point of getting away anyway?) A caution that the driveway is rather steep and has a U turn at the top. There are several spots for parking a boat, but if you have a big truck and long boat it’s a bit of a tight squeeze. If you are fishing there are tons of opportunities - the Stonewall Jackson Lake launch is only a couple of miles away, and there are three more large lakes close by: Burnsville, Sutton and Summersville. All of them produced - bass (smallmouth and largemouth), bluegill, a few perch and crappie. We were focused on bass, but understand there are also walleye, musky and catfish!"
