Gulval Church This church was consecrated in 1336. The building we see today dates mainly from the 16th century.

Brassicas and Maize On the lower slopes east of Penzance is some fairly good agricultural land. The near field of winter greens is surrounded by a low rabbit fence. Beyond that is a field of maize, usually grown as a silage crop for fodder.
