"Very clean, newly refurbished pub in a good location with interesting artistic decorations by local artist who owns the property. Good base to explore this part of the Wales/England border. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We ate at the pub both nights and evening meal was also very good. Lovely staff. Parking seemed to be no problem, either in pub's very small car park or on roads in village."

"Room was good, lovely shower. Cosy heating which was helpful as the weather was awful! Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking was easy and free. Breakfast was included with a good variety of choices. The only disadvantage is you are a long way from town and at the far end of a business park, otherwise a nice stay."

"5th stay here. Always a lovely visit. Highly recommend breakfast. Clean room and nice amenities. Had to use the overflow parking around the back. But its a better spot less crowded and very handy if you're staying in the annex building which we prefer."

"We recently stayed at the St Nicholas Boutique Hotel for one night and had a wonderful experience. The room was incredibly spacious, providing plenty of comfort and room to relax. In the morning, the breakfast was absolutely delicious and the perfect start to our day. A special shout-out to Brush, who makes the absolute best Porn Star Martinis at the bar! Throughout our entire stay, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We loved our short time here and will definitely be returning for a longer stay in the future. Highly recommended!"

"All staff were extremely helpful and friendly in all areas of the hotel. Unfortunately there was no working radiators on the top floor and the room was cold. There was a small electric fan heater in the room which we cleaned prior to as it it was covered in dust. My fault but I hadnt realised that there wasn't a proper shower in a room described as a premium. The kettle was dirty with coffee stains on the outside and generally appeared old. I wasn't happy to use it until I cleaned it. Food and drinks all excellent."

"For us, just a one-night stay, but we arrived about 4pm on a Sunday afternoon, to find this is an extremely popular venue for Sunday lunches. The menu continued into the evening and we were able to see why it's so popular. A great meal, and then a lovely cooked breakfast the next morning. The room, facilities and bed were all comfortable and all in all, we had made a good choice in a quiet rural location."
