"I booked a stay at Postcard Cabins Catskills expecting a peaceful, simple getaway, but the experience ended up being extremely disappointing because of the water situation and the lack of communication from staff. From the start of the stay, there was no reliable access to hot water, which made it impossible to shower or even properly start the day. For a cabin experience that’s supposed to feel relaxing and comfortable, that alone completely ruined the stay. It wasn’t a small inconvenience — it affected the entire trip. What made it even worse was how poorly the situation was handled. Communication was unclear, inconsistent, and at times non-existent. We were left waiting for updates that never came, and it felt like nobody was actually taking responsibility or giving straight answers about when (or if) the issue would be fixed. Instead of enjoying the trip, we were constantly trying to figure out basic necessities like bathing and getting ready to leave the cabin. That’s not what you expect when you pay for a stay like this. Overall, very disappointing experience due to the lack of hot water and the poor communication from staff. I would not recommend booking here until these issues are seriously addressed."

"So in Room 219, we had: * Black mold beneath the soap dish * Hinges with the screws coming out so the door wouldn't shut unless we leaned on it * A broken window with caulk holding the pieces together * A crack in the shower wall that you could almost poke your finger through It's not the worst place I've stayed in, but these are pretty easy fixes to make and nobody clearly had bothered"
