"My reservation got cancelled as I was arriving to the property at 5:22 the day of checking in. me and the rest of my family (16 members) had to scramble to find another place without any large amounts of cash, as my refund didn't take place immediately, i have no words to describe our experience- we were left stranded in a foreign country with not many options,"

"I’ve had the opportunity to travel more than most for work as well as pleasure. I’ve stayed in 5 star accommodation hotels across the US, Europe, Asia and South America. I’ve enjoyed Vrbo’s in North, Central and South America. With that said, Chateau Maldonado is in the top three places I’ve stayed ever for three reasons.

"Our stay here was our most beautiful in our trip through Guatemala. My family and I LOVED Kristiina’s home! It was clean, comfortable but overall the view was just spectacular. It has access to its own private dock and is super easy to walk to town. It’s spacious with a big terrace to take your morning coffee or enjoy a glass of wine. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay here."

"The house is excellent! Beautiful design, right next to the beach, lovely garden, a great lounge area, next to the pool and beach where we spent most of our time. The only feedback is that the kitchen needs renovation. It is very run-down."
