"Charming hotel! This hotel was definitely a gem in its hay day. Although it is a little tired, it is still charming and a lovely place to stay. It was quiet and felt very safe tucked away from the street. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The grounds were nice and had a walking trail where we took the dogs for a stroll. "My husband and I enjoyed our stay! We were in the area for the weekend for DMB's shows at SPAC- 30 min drive. Tina (owner/ host) was exceptional. She was extremely communicative. The property was clean and held its historic charm. Breakfast was fantastic and made to order. We felt safe with the security system in place. Off street parking provided. "Unfortunately there was a used condom in our room on the floor. Our shower curtain was torn and could not keep the water inside the tub and soaked the floor. The rugs smelled really bad, like a wet dog. This is NOT what I’m used to with LaQuinta. I’ve stayed in LaQuinta literally across the country and it definitely depends on who is managing and the staff if it will be a good stay. Latham LaQuinta let us down. "This was a terrible experience. The hotel itself did not feel safe, people outside were doing drugs and alcohol at all hours. The refrigerator did not work, the tv did not work. The front desk refused a refund, the owner hung up on me when I called asking for some type of refund. The bathroom ceiling looked like it could cave in, the shower had rust stains. Stay far away from this hotel they should be shut down."
