Sunshine on the Brassica napus (rapeseed) in Great Oxendon. The rapeseed crop was particularly well advanced here for late April. Combined with the late afternoon sun it made for a sharply colourful scene, making up for the need to push through this at shoulder height to follow the footpath.
Bridge on Brampton Valley Way This clearly shows the original use of what is now the Brampton Valley Way. The former Market Harborough to Northampton railway line looks as though it may have had four tracks at this point.
Into the woods above the tunnel The former railway line running through the square is in a tunnel at this point. The footpath runs over the top of the tunnel, leaving grazing land here to enter woodland above the tunnel, with a ventilation shaft sometimes visible through the trees (but not today).
