"It was a quaint little spot that was much more reasonably priced than other motels/ hotels during foliage season. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had a fridge. The bed was comfortable. Those are the main things I am looking for. It is on a busy road, so it’s noisy. There is nothing that can be done about that. I turned on the AC and that drowned it out. It’s close to Acadia, maybe 20-30 min away. My only complaint is the styrofoam cups for the coffee/ tea in the morning. Instead of cardboard. Just bring your own cup and you are all set. He provided little doughnuts. I would stay again."

"This is the basic motel that is the perfect base for exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Why? - free parking - excellent location that is only an eight minutes stroll from the center of Bar Harbor. - you were located nearly at the entrance of Acadia National Park. - there is free bottled water and coffee served all day and night - the rooms are basic, but have hard surface flooring that is very clean (no dirty carpeting)… A comfortable bed… and a very clean bathroom with great shower pressure. While the other hotels are fancier in the area… This was perfect for the price In the evening, I recommend taking the four- minute drive over to the Blue Nose Inn for an old-school opulent bar that has piano music nearly every evening"

"We are a family of four with two teenagers and stayed here two nights. The Inn seems to be geared towards an older crowd, based on the other guests there and the decor of the rooms. Nevertheless, the suite and bathroom area are very large, which was appreciated. The room seemed to be very clean also. The reception attitude at check-in was a bit cold but we quickly settled in afterwards. We did appreciate the live pianist in the lounge each evening—he is talented and the drinks are affordable. We did not take advantage of the breakfast there but did appreciate the hotel staff recommendation of Choco-latte."

"Nice, clean hotel in a very beautiful location off the beaten path. A bit pricey for this level of hotel but the entire area is expensive. Breakfast was simple but complete with excellent coffee and pastries along with eggs, etc. When we first arrived, the room we were assigned had a wet carpet from a leak in the bathroom. The manager immediately came to the room, assessed the issue and relocated us with a discount. Professional and courteous. We would recommend"

"I actually really liked this place. It’s not fancy, but it’s got a lot going for it. The location just across the water from Mount Desert Island and being right on the water was great! The property manager sent us very specific and helpful information for a late check in and we had no problems there. The hotel has a filtered water machine and microwave in the common area that was really convenient. It’s a quiet spot and the air conditioner worked great so we were able to sleep cool like we like! I would stay here again if in the area."
