"Lovely place to stay, accommodation was spotless and breakfast delicious. Host was excellent, providing us with a warm welcome and helpful recommendations to make the most of our visit. Thoroughly recommend and would definitely book again if in the area."

"Lovely hosts, room was nice, spacious and good to have a living area rather than just a bed to lay on. Breakfast was incredible, best I have had (I've had a few!)."

"We used the Pickled Parson as a home base for a month while visiting family. The room we had for that duration of a stay was a little small, but it was comfortable, clean and made up daily. The staff were all amazing and really made us feel at home. A very relaxed atmosphere with great breakfast options. The bar was a great option to wind down at the end of the day with a night cap.

"We really enjoyed our stay. The location was great, near to Yarm and Preston Park Museum. Also it was only half an hour's drive to Saltburn by the Sea. Everything was lovely, breakfast, room, staff etc, but the Health Spa was amazing and we enjoyed every minute of it!"
"Not a 4 start hotel, more like 2. Bathroom was damp and had hair on the floor. The whole room dingy. Noise from cars outside. Reception at the pub across. Lovely stuff I must admit. Expensive for what it is so won't go there again."
"We stayed here in Paris theme room and was absolutely lovely!!!
Had everything and more, great choice at breakfast and friendly staff!
I would definitely recommend and stay here again
Its a fabulous place."
"The stay was fabulous.
The only disappointment--I had stated prior to our visit that it was to celebrate my wife's birthday. A little something in the room would have just added a special touch- as your telephone Advisor said you would probably do.
Kind regards

"The hotel still looks great from the outside. The bar, lounges and reception looking modern and clean. But the room I had felt dated and in need of a fresh decoration. Wallpaper coming lose on the ceiling. Floorboards lose. Bathroom you could see sealant had been applied many times around the bath to stop leaks.
I may be looking at the details to much, but newer hotels you do not see any repair jobs.
Breakfast was great as well.
Just needs some TLC in some of the bedrooms, to bring back to the high standard you expect from this hotel."
