Property right on lake. The outdoor sauna overlooking the lake was great. Fire pits were nice. Easy self check in. Room was a little dated but location was awesome. Would recommend if you are looking for a couple night stay.

Beautiful cozy room. Very clean. Fabulous shower! I've been coming to Thomsonite for 40 years and always love it. The renovations are really nice. Only one suggestion - put a light or lamp near the coffee maker kitchenette area

We got emails from the property in the days leading up to our stay and were unable to open them, so we were thankful they still had our room when we got there. We asked for a room with a bed and sofa bed - the sofa bed was very comfortable, but they didn't leave appropriate bed clothes for it so we had to improvise a bit. Lovely room. Great kitchen. Great location.

Great location with beautiful views of the lake. We stayed in one of their newly renovated rooms and found it to be cozy, quaint and comfortable- which was perfect in a spring blizzard! The lakeside sauna was perfect for a relaxing evening.

Perfect spot just outside of Grand Marais

The location was excellent - just outside of Grand Marais and close to lots of hiking trails. We loved the sauna and the peaceful lakefront property. A great find!

The room was roomy and comfortable. It was perfect for resting after a day of hiking. The farmhouse style sink in the bathroom was perfect for rinsing dishes, filling water bottles and washing faces and hands. It is obvious a lot of thought was given to the design of the room. Our only interaction with staff was when they showed us a bear about 100 feet from our cabin as we walked back from the beach. On our next visit we will look at taking advantage of the kayaking opportunities offered at Bluefin for guests. There were plenty of supplies, towels, toilet paper, shampoo, etc. for the time we were there. It is close to some great hiking like Pincushion Mountain and Cascade Falls. We enjoyed going into Grand Marais, which is close, for dinner as is the Cascade Lodge. We will definitely look at staying here again.

The property sits on the shore of Lake Superior. There are chairs and firepits, a sauna, and beautifully designed and decorated rooms. The owners are very responsive and friendly, and we will stay there again!

Perfect stay by the lake

The room was clean and the lake view was nice. We enjoyed the sauna a lot. Sitting around a campfire and listening to the water was very relaxing. Very close to Grand Maris. Highly recommend it if you visit Grand Marais!
