"No lift to rooms, only a mature female was available, she offered to take luggage. No fridge in the room and no iron in the room. Had to carry iron and ironing board from reception to the bedroom. Not a great choice for vegetarians."

"I really enjoyed my stay, particularly the central location in the heart of the town, and the room was impeccably clean."

"Disappointing stay at this hotel. The staff were a little unwelcoming and the service was not great. A beautiful location but this was let down by terrible parking, poor facilities and attention to detail that wasn’t there!!!! The spa was poor with an outlook to a wall!! The room was also disappointing with hair on my pillow and uncomfortable cheap pillows. I was very much looking forward to this stay but was very disappointed."

"Lovely location. Nice size room. Floor fan did its best during a heatwave. Excellent spa facilities available for guests. We didn’t eat here so I can’t comment on menu/food."

"House keeping not the best service staff excellent tiled the bathroom but could have done the floor with lose tiles and dirty grouting but food was excellent "

"The hotel needs air conditioning in all bedrooms as the rooms were too hot. There were no fridges in the bedrooms to keep water cold etc which was disappointing as we had to ask for glasses of ice to do this. Staff were exceptional and the spa and swimming pool were really good. A great location on the edge of Dartmoor with access to some great walks."
