Spring Gardens Viewed from Mill Lane, the cottages are on Station Road the western of the southern routes out of Glynde. The first field boundary is actually Spring Ditch a small tributary of Glynde Reach whilst the second marks the course of the A27. Beddingham Hill is in the distance.

Built in 1069 by William de Warenne the first Earl of Surrey it is one of only two remaining that are based upon the motte and bailey construction.
