It would have been helpful to be given advice that it is quite intimidating driving up to the villa from Bagni di Lucca, and that we should only rent a very small vehicle. The Australians and Americans in our group really struggled with the road and the access to the villa itself. "

"When I dreamt of visiting Tuscany, Villa Olivi was what I dreamt of. It was perfect for our friends and us. The views are incredible, and the house was very comfortable and accommodating. As withers have expressed, there is one tight squeeze going up the hill in a car, but otherwise the whole experience was magical."

When you travel a long way (Canada and Norway) it’s great to be impressed and that we were! Everyone was kind and accommodating to us. It was a very personal experience. We had the pizza chef come to feed us one evening. This is most highly recommended. I got pretty good at driving the road up to the palazzo but I recommend two things: at first, don’t do it in the dark, and be sure to rent a narrow, sturdy vehicle. Overall a 10/10 unforgettable experience. "
