"Cahal pech resort review
We stayed here for 2 days and enjoyed every part of our stay except for the spa services/massages.
Everyone including the staff, tour guides, and taxi drivers were very friendly, professional and attentive.
Our cabana was great, we especially enjoyed our hammock and the views were amazing.
Unfortunately, on our last night we booked 90 minute deep tissue massages and only got 60 minute horrible Swedish massages and were still charged $20 extra for deep tissue even after complaining and explaining that we didn’t receive what we booked. The therapists seemed to be amateurs and untrained. This was our only complaint and no one at the resort has offered any resolution.
I would still recommend this resort just stay away from the spa."
"This was a perfect place to stay for our trip to San Ignacio. It is right in the middle of town and only a block from our excursion and shuttle meeting point. Right by the market too. This place isn't luxury but excellent value for the price. I would stay here again for sure."
"Staying at Ka'ana Resort was a relaxing and peaceful experience. Immediately upon arrival, I noticed the lush gardens. The hotel and property are kept immaculately, and the amenities provided everything I was looking for in a resort.
The pool and spa are at the heart of the resort, and there are two firepits for evening s'mores.
The staff is very welcoming and attentive, and they offered excellent recommendations for activities during my stay. My partner and I enjoyed the Mayan abdomen massage by Anisa and Nuri. It was relaxing and restorative.
Having a suite with a private plunge pool is the way to go. It is a romantic sanctuary and the best way to experience this resort as a couple.
The food is absolutely amazing. With an organic garden on site, the ingredients are fresh and delicious.
I will definitely be returning to Ka'ana next time I am in Belize. Highly recommended."
"Good basic accommodation. Lots of space in room considering two double beds. You do have to come upstairs, no elevator. On good street for walking, close to local market. Parking available."
"What a lovely place to stay, and what great service! Under Paula's stellar leadership, the staff was terrific. Got great advice about things to do, better than what was in the guidebooks. The room was spacious and comfortable and the food was good, We enjoyed the quiet pool under beautiful trees, where we sae an agouti scampering by. It's in town, but up a hill, so it's convenient but has a nice view over the valley. On-site parking was convenient and secure. It's literally next door to the Cahal Pech Mayan site, which we got to tour that almost by ourselves."
Luxury Villa with chef, pool, and beautiful gardens
10/10 Excellent
"We truly could not have asked for a more incredible place to stay in Belize. The location is absolutely stunning, and the property itself somehow managed to be even more beautiful than the photos. It exceeded every single expectation or hope we had. What made our stay especially memorable, though, were Elias and Betty. They were absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to make our time there special. Every single meal they prepared was outstandingly delish, fresh, and flavorful (and we are "foodie" people) - truly restaurant quality!! They were also incredibly accommodating with our family’s food allergies and dietary needs, created an extra special dinner for a family celebration, and took such thoughtful care of us throughout our stay. The entire experience was unforgettable, and this property was such a special part of our time in Belize. We would recommend it without hesitation and would absolutely love to return someday. Truly an amazing place!"
"We had a great time staying at Villa Massis. The entire staff was very friendly and very accommodating and very warm and they took good care of us while we stayed there."
