Classic building - well updated. Clean room, spotless bathroom. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom.

The room was great. The bathroom was great except there was no hair conditioner. The floor however did not appear to have been cleaned. The carpet had stuff on it (including someone’s old contact lens!) and the floor was sticky on parts. The kitchenette was stocked but we didn’t really need that since we ate out every meal. Overall good stay.

The room is in a secure building next to the bar. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The property is conveniently located in a shopping center next to a New World supermarket. It is only about 20 minutes away from the airport.

This hotel is across the street from the huge, beautiful Hagley Park and Botanic Gardens and in a nice neighborhood with many restaurants within a couple of blocks walk. It is a top tier yet affordable hotel. The breakfast was the nicest hotel breakfast I have ever had. I have a dairy restriction and this breakfast is very accommodating. Golden hotel is the perfect stay once landing in Christchurch and before leaving again. Very clean and nice space. Staff is also responsive and kind with inquiries. There is a Vietnamese cafe right on the main lobby so very convenient for a quick pick me up. Overall, would stay here again so definitely recommend!

Very well appointed room, spacious. Loved the outdoor patio. Rooms have snacks and drinks available for a reasonable price which is a nice touch. It was a convenient location for us.

Signage for property parking for the hotel was missing, for which required me to search at busy airport parking . When this was reported , staff merely remarked it was the responsibility of the airport
