"Upon arriving already we were having issues with the staff. We don’t speak Portuguese but we were using Google Translate with them which is fine we don’t expect for the staff to speak English. However, after 2 days of traveling to get there we did request to check in a bit early (15-30 min) after being absolutely disgusting from planes, bus, and ferry rides. The woman at the check in desk literally laughed in our faces when we explained to her that we just want a shower and we were aware that the room was ready. Throughout our stay we were rejected simple services that hotels offer like room cleaning service and had to request several times for someone to come and clean the room and request fresh towels. In the end we also had to sweep our own floors in the rooms. We ended up checking out 2 days early from their lack of service and when requesting a refund for the nights not used they refused and tried to get us to sign a form in Portuguese that we stayed the whole time we were supposed to. Thank god for Google Translate. "

"Pontos positivos: boa localização, café da manhã bem variado, chuveiro com boa pressão e atendimento excepcional da Tânia! Melhor recepcionista que já conhecemos. Pontos negativos: quarto duplo muito pequeno (quase sem espaço para malas) e banheiro pouco ventilado, toalhas de banho muito velhas e desgastadas. No quarto (107), as tomadas ao lado da cama não estavam funcionando. Tínhamos uma varanda com varal, mas parte dela estava destelhada de modo que as roupas não secavam nos dias de chuva porque molhavam. Metade do caminho do nosso quarto até o restaurante era sem cobertura e a pousada não oferecia guarda chuva, então tomamos chuva alguns dias para ir e voltar do café da manhã"
