  • Birding, Biking, Relaxing! You can do all three! You will have FREE BIKE RENTAL with access to two bikes, plus a pair of binoculars. Newnans Lake is 5 miles from downtown Gainesville and 7 miles from UF campus. Newnans Lake is a migratory bird path. A Birder's Paradise! This 1250 sq ft upstairs apartment overlooks our own citrus grove. You feel like you are in a luxury treehouse! Very peaceful and quiet here. You are surrounded by original artwork throughout the apartment. A memorable experience! HIGH SPEED WIFI throughout apartment. Washer and dryer available. Let me know if you require 2 beds. Create Memories. Relaxing. Over 200 five star reviews by prior recent guests and prior to being a Vrbo Host..
    Looking to do some outdoor cooking? We have a grill for you to use, along with utensils for the grill. You just provide the charcoal and lighter fluid.
    One hour massages available at $45. All services are on a cash basis.
    I do ask that you please not open the windows as the moisture and pollen will affect the paintings. Please keep the outside door locked when not on the property. There is a nice patio with comfortable chairs and swing on the garage patio for fresh air and your enjoyment close to your entrance.
    Be sure to watch an amazing sunrise or sunset on Newnans Lake at Palm Point, a nice walk from the apartment.

Absolutely fabulous place to stay. We throughly enjoyed our 3 nights at this delightful apartment. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The apartment was clean and well equipped with everything you need. The area was teaming with wildlife. Bring your own K-cups for morning coffee. Ask your host about Micanopy, It’s a beautiful little town not far away. Wouldn’t hesitate to book a stay here again if we’re in the area.

This place was amazing, had everything and more! We were there for 3 nights and it flew by, wishing we had more time to explore all around and enjoy the mornings on the porch watching the wild animals roam so peacfully.

Calming getaway from the hustle and bustle, yet still a quick drive to the university, downtown and Archer Road area. Apartment is very cozy, peaceful, and we enjoyed the nature including all the birds and even saw a ton of turkeys. Greg was very hospitable and we will definitely be back when we visit Gainesville again.

Greg is an excellent and attentive host. He greeted us when we arrived and gave us the grand tour of the apartment and the grounds. We met the koi and the turkeys and enjoyed fresh oranges from the orchard. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The bikes were a great bonus - we rode down to the lake and hung out with the alligators and the birds. If we're ever in the Gainesville area again, we'll definitely stay here.

10/10! My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights and were both sad to leave! We felt welcomed, and comfortable in the apartment and surroundings. The wildlife and koi pond were delightful as were the artwork and history displayed inside. Very clean, slept well, awesome shower, and the kitchen has everything you could need. This was a great place to relax on the porch watching and listening for birds as well as a jumping off point for walking Paynes Prairie and touring UF. We hope to return!! Thank you, Greg!

Greg was the perfect host throughout our stay. His place is immaculate, bright, and charming as can be. Greeting my daughter and I with some fresh, beautiful, and fragrant gardenias from his garden was such a nice gesture! Learning about the history behind the beautiful pieces of art in his place was very fascinating. The location is serene and peaceful - tucked away in lush nature. Believe him when he says you won’t want to get out of the shower! We’ve never experienced such nice water pressure before! The sofa bed is extremely comfortable. To wrap my review up - if your travels ever bring you to Gainesville and surrounding areas - you should definitely give this place a chance! Thank you so much, Greg!

I had a wonderful time here. Everything was beautifully arranged inside the house. There’s very nice pottery and artwork decorating the walls. I’m happy about my timing because the Orange, Grapefruit, and lemon trees were loaded with fruit! Greg was a fantastic host who is very knowledgeable about many things but especially the surrounding area and the state of Florida. I highly recommend this place.

We had a delightful stay here. The accomodations are comfortable and had everything we needed. The highlight of our stay was watching the wild turkeys and enjoying fresh fruit grown on the property. The quiet was amazing.

We had a wonderful time in this natural setting. Greg was a fantastic host and gave us a thorough tour of the property along with it's history. This upstairs apartment was beautifully decorated, and very complete with everything we needed. It felt like home being there. The surroundings were natural, serene, and peaceful. It was still just a short drive to Gainesville and the University of Florida. We hope to stay there again when we return to Gainesville.

This property has a mix of American heritage, natural environment including a enormous amount of beautiful trees, birds, turkeys, and a fig tree you can pick to eat and in top of that, a marvelous owner that will help you with any need you could have during your stay letting you wanting to extend your vacation. This apartment is full of culture; art of multiple mediums and historical memorabilia, passed down through generations. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. And the shower is amazing! I wish I’d booked a longer visit. Hope to stay here again.

Relaxing and comfortable March stay!

We were in Gainesville so i could compete at the World Indoor Masters Championships ay the end of March and this property was a the perfect place for us to have as a base. The location was quiet and peaceful with lots of local wildlife to enjoy around the apartment. We particularly enjoyed the historical touches around the apartment and the shower was a highlight! We would love to come back.

Gorgeous Place

Quiet, near a lake and away from neighbors. Lots of birds and surrounded by nature! The house has lots of beautiful art to inspire. Our host even picked some fruit for us to enjoy.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a Floridian road trip. Greg is an amazing host, his communication was 1st class from the moment we booked until we departed. The property is wonderful, full of character and we enjoyed learning about the history of the property and the artefacts within. We were here to enjoy the local wildlife, of which there is plenty, including many bird species in the garden. We would highly recommend a stay here.
