"Hotel Sonia is set in a stunning setting clinging to the side of a mountain overlooking Mt Etna. She is beautiful but in need of an update and more care around the property. It is clean, the staff helpful and courteous, the rooms ok, breakfast is great, bar service ok, and the village it is in is definitely worth the detour."

The hotel ended up being our favorite of the entire Sicily trip. Valet parking was seamless and very convenient, which made everything feel easy from the moment we arrived. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and the overall atmosphere felt relaxed and special—definitely a place we’d return to."

"The location was good, walking distance to antic theater and tram to Isolla Bella. Near restaurants and souvenir shops. The breakfast was good. The breakfast was served on a terrace with a view to the ocean, very nice view. They have valet parking for $20 Euros. Service is good, they are attentive. We stayed on an apartment just outside the hotel. The apartment was spacious. However, it was dated. We had one good day with internet and one bad day. They switched our router, the one on the first router was better, much faster. The apartment had central heating that did not work. But, it did have a heater like individual AC for each of our rooms and the living room. The Heat system in our room made very loud noises every hour or so. It woke me up at 3 AM one night. All and all it was ok. The highlight was the breakfast on the terrace. The worst was the noise heater and the internet in our second day. "

"The view from our hotel balcony was worth the price of the room. Very convenient to walk up to the Palace/fortress of Taormina, down to the main shopping street and across to the Roman amphitheater. Breakfast outstanding. "

"The hotel is in a fabulous location, just minutes from the pretty streets filled with shops and restaurants. We booked a sea view room which didn’t disappoint as we could also see Mt.Etna and the Greek theatre, a beautiful view that you could never tire off. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable, lots of storage and plenty of toiletries snd towels provided. The room included a mini fridge but could be improved by having tea & coffee making facilities also. Breakfast was nice, with a lot of choice perfect if you have a sweet tooth. The decor around the hotel is dated but overall we were very happy with our two night stay. "
