Refuge in Funchal Ⅱ, a Home in Madeira

Refúgio no Funchal II is a renovated apartment with air conditioning in a building located in the city centre of Funchal.

The accommodation has 58 m2 and consists of a bedroom with a double bed (1.6 x 2.0 m), a private bathroom with shower, a living room with kitchen and dining area.

It is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, ceramic hob, oven, microwave and other kitchen utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi (1 Gbps) and television with international channels, amongst other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxed stay.



REMARKS

Cleaning is carried out before check-in and there is a weekly clean, which includes changing bed linen and towels.

There is a street in front of the building where there is potential for traffic noise, mainly during the day and if the windows are open.

Due to the island's climate, insects may unexpectedly occur. To avoid attracting insects, it is important to clean up food scraps and keep food well wrapped.

The use of insect repellent is recommended for people sensitive to mosquito bites when moving around the island.



LOCATION

The apartment is close to the city centre, approximately 10 to 15 minutes' walk from the Old Town (historic centre) and the sea.

In the vicinity there are cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, grocers, wine shops, shops, museums, pharmacies and clinics.

Although a car is not necessary, there are two public car parks 130 m from the building. Free parking is possible during the night and weekends on nearby streets.

There are bus stops within a short walk and by car there is easy access to the main roads of Funchal and the motorway to explore the island.



CONDITIONS

1. Parties and behaviours that disturb the peace and well-being of neighbours are not permitted, particularly between 22:00 and 08:00 when neighbourhood noise is prohibited.

2. An online check-in form will be sent to collect essential identification data for check-in, arrival time and means of transport, which must be submitted by guests at least two days before arrival.

3. For in-person check-in, it is necessary to schedule the time and the waiting time is 60 minutes, after which a new time slot may be scheduled according to our availability.

4. Guests may be asked to present an identification document upon arrival and to provide missing identification data to comply with legal requirements.

5. Any damage, incidents or cleaning failures must be reported as soon as they are detected so they can be verified and addressed promptly during the stay. Problems reported late merely for the purpose of obtaining a refund will not be considered.

6. Guests must inform about allergies, constraints or special needs before or shortly after booking so that compliance can be verified and appropriate measures taken.
