"There are several long term renters. It’s a rough crowd. The lamp by the bed was busted. Water taps switched. Evidence of recent fumigation. It felt like someone had just moved out. I’m fine with less than standard accommodations but I felt like I was likely to be part of a crime scene. My wife warned me not to come home with bedbugs. So, as quickly as I unloaded the car, I packed it back up and hit the road.
