Hyggelig sted, god frokost

Hyggelig sted i engelsk countryside-style. Fint rom (Embla), men virket litt sjuskete rundt inngangspartiet til rommet. Minus for at begge badekåpene hadde masse gule flekker, slik at de ikke fristet til bruk. Ok middag. Veldig bra frokost og særdeles hyggelig frokost-betjening.

Greit opphold på Engø Gård

Vi booket opphold på engø for feiring av bursdag og bestilte gourmetmiddag, 9retter, for 3 pers. Det var kunstverk som ble servert, men smak og behag er forskjellig og vi likte to - tre av rettene, men vi spiste alle og ble jo mette...det mest positive for oss var at det ble tatt veldig godt hensyn til lactoseintoleranse for en person. Det minst positive for oss var at all kommunikasjon foregikk på engelsk, noe vi ikke mestret, vanskelig å skjønne at det ikke kommuniseres på norsk på norske restauranter. Rommene var greie, men lite kjøling, uten tv og gjennomsiktig dør til bad/wc. Absolutt ikke noe for oss. Fine uteområder og bassengfasiliteter. Fin frokost, men kaos da vi kom, manglet bestikk, manglet brød, måtte bestille kaffe....personalet sto på og løp rundt for å serve gjestene...kanskje kom frokostgjestene samtidig og det ble for mye rett og slett? Uansett: slik skal det ikke være på en eksklusiv plass som koster dobbelt så mye som andre hotell i området...for oss er det nok ikke aktuelt å komme tilbake, men kan anbefales for yngre og kjøpesterke folk som er komfortable med både språk og annet levesett...
