"Though the property was clean and cosy, the lack of staff was somewhat of a shame. The bar and restaurant was also not open throughout the four nights of my stay, something that I was only informed of in the days leading up to my stay via the messaging service on the Hotels.com app."

"Property was completely unlocked and empty of people. Had to use posted number on unlocked door to contact an employee who showed up 15 minutes later. Was taken to a dirty unmade bedroom with old and mismatched furniture. Bathroom was 30 yards away with no toiletries and no mirror Water was luc warm. Carpet throughout the building was rhreadbare. After 20 minutes I decided to vacate the hotel due to watching a rat run down the hallway."

"Room 20 was quite difficult to sleep in due to its proximity to the roof. Those darned doves were cooing all night and morning. We could hear then moving about. Mattresses were old and uncomfortable. Quite sure a spring popped getting into bed. Stains on the dark carpet. The receptionist/bartender was a great chap. He explained everything quite well. No dedicated parking, but we got a very convenient spot in front."

"The flat was of a good size and the kitchen well equipped. The block of flats is in a quiet side street of the High Street. The Co-op supermarket is just a minute away, and so is Savers. The only problem was the check-in. The access code was not sent beforehand. It needed texts, emails and calls and took an hour to finally enter the place."

"We loved the amazing view, the rural setting, the quiet privacy, and the hot tub. The host was very responsive. It’s important to know though, that if you stay here, you will be doing a considerable amount of driving every day and will need to bring “disposables” such as toilet paper, for all nights after your first one. Getting directions to the location using Google maps was quite difficult, as there are many named buildings on the estate. We really enjoyed our day though! "

"An extended family get together combined with some distillery visits. It’s an older property with bags of character, kids loved it, plenty of room for all. Hosts were very helpful and comms were great."
