"THIS HOTEL SHOULD BE NAMED: SEWAGE SANDS
Our two days at the Blue Sands Hotel were a total mess. The room smelled awful, and the staff treated us terribly. Do not stay here until they learn how to run a hotel and treat people with respect.
Day One: The Awful Smell and The Rude Manager
Our trip started with a ruined, sleepless night because of a terrible smell of human waste in our room from a broken pipe at the hotel. When the front desk opened at 9AM we spoke with the manager Mirela. Together...
"Excellent hotel. 5 minutes walk to the port and local bus to town which was excellent - bohemian, cosmopolitan vibe with so many lovely restaurants and a wonderful sunset spot high at the church.
The hotel and team were excellent. There is a minimalistic but quality feel to this hotel, so it was perfect to relax, amongst friendly, warm service. Very clean and excellent meals and quality cocktails. We loved the hotel, the local areas quaint bars, taverna's and the overall low key, mellow...
"The stay was lovely - the room was beautiful and had a lovely courtyard. It’s a stone’s throw away from the town, so easy to get to by foot, maybe 10 minutes. Very easy to get to the bus stop as well, to get to the beaches etc. Lucia at the hotel was amazing - she was very communicative on whatsapp and took care of anything we needed, including a slightly later checkout after our ferry got delayed. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!"
"Get a quad, see the entire island. Folegandros is the most fantastic hidden gem. It is paradise and its people are friendly and wonderful. Our stay at Lemon Tree was fantastic and the staff was super accommodating and give us a great recommendation for the island."
"Our stay at Provalma was nothing short of incredible!
We were greeted by Yiannis, the hotel owner who arranged for transportation from the port straight to the hotel. He accommodated us with an early check-in and coordinated with local vendors an ATV rental during our stay.
The hotel houses 5 suites on the premise which guaranteed a very quiet and peaceful environment. The property was extremely cleanly and well maintained. One of our highlights was the included breakfast which was both...
