Great place near the lake in El Remate, really helpful staff, beautiful setting in the middle of the jungle, yet having the small town vibe... Ideal to visit Tikal park... Food in the restaurant top notch, and not too pricey... Wonderful memories will stay with us for a long time

This is a wonderful piece of land in El Remate, which is a midway to TIKAL archaeological site and other important touristic areas like Yaxha and Flores. The staff is friendly and professional, prices are fair and the property is unique in its style and location. Rooms have fans and mosquito nets. There is no A/C on the cottages. The temperatures outside may go upt to 35C at some times of the year. The lake is just in front of the property and you can just refresh there, though. Due to the uniqueness of its location, you will be immersed in the tropical rainforest and listen to howler monkeys in the morning and evenings. The spectacular views are also to remark. There is no wifi on rooms, only in the main restaurant area. It is important to note that they will charge an extra 5% if you pay using your Credit Card. Food is prepared on request and I personally like the hotcakes and the traditional Guatemalan breakfast. (not included but at an affordable price)

We stayed at Posada del Cerro for four nights, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The cabin is in a beautiful location with the lake right in front, offering breathtaking views every day. Waking up to the peaceful scenery and enjoying the sunsets by the water made our stay truly special. The cabin was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The peaceful surroundings made it easy to relax and disconnect, while still being close enough to enjoy the local area. The hosts were welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend four nights. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Posada del Cerro to anyone looking for a quiet and beautiful lakeside getaway.

Amazing property close to lake and quiet. Very friendly, welcoming and friendly staff. Super breakfasts, while watching the birds at the feeders! Wonderful room, spacious and clean with private deck. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to everyone!

Amazing stay in the jungle, surrounded by nature - hummingbirds at breakfast, monkeys foraging in the trees above the hammocks each afternoon. Total relaxation, close enough to Tikal and a great nature hike with a couple of restaurants down the road. (the in-house options are wonderful) Our hosts were awesome - always smiling, helping in any way they could, cooking up delicious and reasonably priced breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Rather good selection of rums if the mood takes you. We stayed in a grass roofed room open to the jungle but secure enough to keep the monkeys out. Simple but beautiful.

Recommandé. Ecolodge très paisible avec un bel accueil du propriétaire. Le site possède un restaurant et les plats mangés étaient excellents. Une cafetière dans la cuisine de notre studio aurait été un plus. A savoir: il y a beaucoup de manches à monter avec vos bagages. Le sentier de la réserve naturelle voisine (Biotopo Cerro Cahui) est à faire (faune variée).
