Super clean, very comfortable. I would definitely come back and stay here again! It was a fun place to stay. Thank you so much for letting us use your place.
Location is exceptional
Street is quiet
Great restaurants within 5 minutes
Santa Croce church 1 minute
Taxi service and coffee bars nearby and a food supermarket
Living room is a great room to spend time with the family
Stairs are a little steep for my older family
Communication with owner is great
My family loved our stay in Elisabetta and Cosimo's property. It is walkable to all main Florence attractions, and in a really lovely street right off Piazza Santa Croce. Hosts were excellent with communication. We would definitely recommend and stay here again!
Our family really enjoyed this property. Plenty of space; very comfortable; and an excellent location. It's a perfect spot for a few days in Florence! It is everything that it says in the pictures.
We spent 2 weeks here with our adult children and their partners (8 of us) visiting our daughter who was studying abroad here in Florence, it was absolutely amazing! Everyone had a bed, 2 full bathrooms, extra large kitchen/dining area, plenty of room for all of us. The host was available for anything and everything we needed. NO complaints at all whatsoever…worth every dime
The place has tons of room, and is uniquely designed. We were a family of 7 with 4 adults. It was a nice stay for 9 days. Cosmo and his family were hospitable and provided great instructions/communications. I would recommend this place if you're staying in Florence. Quiet place east of all the activities.
Such a beautiful home! Great location. Central to everything we wanted to do. There was all the amenities we needed. Immaculately clean and comfortable. Great beds and comfie furnishings.
My family of 7, Spent 5 nights in this beautiful apartment. Great location in Santa Croce neighborhood, close to many attractions and restaurants, and shops. Walkable to almost everything. Elevator a bonus for luggage to second level.
We had an amazing stay with my wife, three adult children and their respective boyfriends. The location could not have been better, walking distance to literally everything. The apartment itself... wow, we are still talking about it. I travel often for work and for leisure, and this is one of the best stays of my life.
Gorgeous property in the Santa Croce neighborhood- plenty of space, impressive artwork and features. Quiet location close to all the tourist destinations. My only complaint was that you did not have access to the garden, it is the owner’s private garden, and the VRBO description makes it seem part of your rental- a little disappointing.
Overall an amazing property in a gorgeous, super safe setting- RECOMMEND!
Thank you sincerely for letting us stay in your gorgeous apartment. We stayed in 9 different places over four weeks in Italy and this was by far the best.
There are many standouts - the location, the quiet, the safety, the atmosphere, but the beautiful architecture and lavish decoration was on top- plus the beds - they are so comfortable. When I come back to Florence, I would chose to stay here again above any other option. Thank you :)
Was located in a great central walking location. Stairs going up to 2nd floor for majority of bedrooms can be challenge. The elevator is a must to get luggage up, so very glad to have it.Very modern kitchen area, some doors can be tricky /noisy to open or close but does add to the rustic historical charm of the place.
The property was spacious for 6 people and the check-in was easy. There’s an elevator outside the main door to bring luggage up to the second floor — the spiral staircase does have many steps so I recommend the elevator if steps are hard. I had to book an extra night and the hosts were accommodating and let us stay the extra night. I communicated with the hosts via the VRBO app, and they were quick to respond. I would recommend this property for families traveling through Tuscany.
Our family of 5 adults and one 7 y/o had a wonderful stay. The location is great and is easily walkable to all the tourist sites and to restaurants and grocery. The properth is unique and very quiet without street noise.
It was 98-99 degrees outside when we were in Firenze in July. So the upstairs bedrooms were a bit warm but are air conditioned.
The property did list an outdoor space which was not available to use. I think this has now been corrected.
We enjoyed our stay immensely
The palace is gorgeous and our hosts extremely gracious. Communication with them was prompt. The location was convenient to everything in the city, yet quiet when we returned from sightseeing each day. The apartment itself was spotless. Our hosts had a big bowl of fruit waiting for us. There is 1 bedroom on the main floor, and the remaining bedrooms up a spiral staircase. There is only 1 bathroom upstairs, so it’s possible that 4-6 people could be sharing. However, all in all an A+
Borgo, Santa Croce 17 our host Elizabeta was very responsive. The home is beautiful!!. It is located a block away from the Piazza Santa Croce. There was a very detailed booklet about the home which we found very helpful. A truly unique European experience, the living room and kitchen/dining room area, were very welcoming and had all the amenities that you could want. The bedroom on the first floor was very unique and I was told the ceiling fresco painting is over 450 years old. The two bedrooms upstairs were very comfortable. As mentioned in previous reviews, access to the second floor, and ultimately, the third floor where there two other beds were located could be challenging as access is via a stone spiral stair case similar to the Duomo’s in Florence.
The apartment is just outside of Piazza Santacroce, and it is walking distance to many of the must see places in Florence The museums the Duomo there are so many fantastic restaurants and cafés within a five minute walk. Taxi service was also readily available overall a fantastic stay.
We stayed 8 days in July and were very pleased with the Luxury Renaissance Palace. The weather was very hot but the thick stone walls helped keep the place cool. There are air conditioners in the bedrooms but not in the communal areas.
*Decor is amazing
*Located in the Santa Croce neighborhood - tons of restaurants and shops
*Washing machine, no dryer - we washed clothes daily
*Beds are large and comfortable
*Lots of toiletries in the downstairs bathroom
*Decent WiFi
*Kitchen had a lot of cooking supplies & cookware but we ate out every night.
*Plenty of hot water & good water pressure
*Lots of towels
We enjoyed staying here... the apartment is part of an old palace and has a circular staircase to the upper bedrooms. which could pose a challenge to those with mobility issues
We briefly met the owner who checked us in. I wish we could have spent more time with her to learn more about the apartment, but since we arrived late at night (due to a cancelled flight) it didn't happen. I recommend this rental and hope for a second stay next year. Thank you Elisabetta
The Luxury Renaissance Palace was amazing! Highly recommend! This place was absolutely beautiful! It was so very kind of the hosts to leave a bowl full of fresh fruit and bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for us! We enjoyed that so very much! We also loved this location. It was quiet and we felt very safe. So close to a beautiful church, some fun bars and an INCREDIBLE restaurant. La Buchetta Food & Wine 2 was SO good that we ate there two nights in a row! FUN servers and excellent food! Look at the restaurant reviews!
We were able to check in early and communication with Elisabetta was fantastic. Her mom met us right as scheduled and was so kind! She didn't speak English, however showed us a nice welcome video that we could understand. We wished how to use the keys was included in the video. We didn't completely understand from the Italian instruction! For future guests... the skeleton keys are for the front and main door and the key fob is for the gate. When leaving there is a button on the left wall to open the gate. We had some fun trying to figure this out! You are welcome! ;)
We also found Pizzeria Ristorante I Tarocchi on the other side of the Arno but very close. It was very good food and service was great. The pear tortellini with Tallegio cream sauce was to die for. Try it, you won't be disappointed!
Only issue was the main shower didn't drain well so was almost unusable... but otherwise this place was amazing! I'd book it again! Thank you!
This apartment was perfect for our family trip! The location was perfect to the bridge, food, and local markets. The rooms were all very comfortable with nice linens. Shared spaces had enough seating and the bathrooms were all clean. Communication with our host was a breeze and we would highly recommend booking!
This was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend. Perfect location and the apartment is just beautiful. Elisabetta and Beatrice were exceptional hosts! Don't miss out!
We had a fantastic stay! The property was exactly as described, fantastic location steps from Santa Croce. Beatrice was so welcoming & kind. The fresh fruit she left for us was a great touch. Will definitely stay here again when we return!
