"Let me start this off by mentioning that I am a very picky person. I tend to complain about the things that may not bother others like being too close to the elevator or footsteps from rooms above me. We spent two nights at the Hacienda del Rio as part of a week long trip. This stay was far superior to the national chains we also stayed at on this trip. The resort itself offers multiple amenities including a pool, basketball, pickleball, corn hole, sauna, a bar, and many other options. It is situated on a river and appeared to also have tube rentals available. The buildings are two story with units on each floor, some having river views. The interior of the units appear to have been remodeled/restored to perfection providing modern features while maintaining old school character. I cannot say enough about the staff. Communication was stellar. Staff was incredibly friendly, responsive, and went over and above to make our stay the best it could be. If we ever return to the area, we will definitely stay at the Hacienda del Rio and commute back and forth to our other destinations. It is just that good. "
