"Beautiful historic hotel with wrap around porches and great location near the beach (short walk across the beach road and over the dunes). The pool was excellent and clean with beautiful flowing hedges giving it a private garden feel. Took off one star for some rust in the bathroom and complicated check in. It's more like Airbnb check in, you go right to the room with a keypad lock. Took us a while to find our room and get the door code. Other than that we really enjoyed the property and location."

"I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this room is. I booked it because it's right on the beach. It was so nice to walk up a set of stairs and be there. I didn't expect a stove or coffee pot in the rooms. But there was also charcoal for a community grill. We never really saw any staff, but all the info we needed was sent by email. The beds were small, but clean and comfortable. The numbered parking stalls were nice, too. I would highly recommend this place for an economical room on the beach."

"Lovely place with cozy furniture and plenty of space for the four of us. However, the door code lock/unlock was on the fritz, so we had to use the lock box key. The twin bed really needs a new mattress, as no one could sleep on it and ended up using the couch instead. The small bedroom has the furnace in a closet running constantly and is a little noisy. It was nice having two bathrooms, even though they were rather small. The one with the tub could use a handrail grip and perhaps something to prevent slippage and a bathmat. The dishwasher is on its last legs, and I noticed it had been held together with zip ties just to keep it working. Plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware, and cookware. Parts of the floor were uneven, which can catch you off guard. Overall, very nice stay and appreciated the easy communication and directions."
