"Whether the requirements of a 5 star hotel differ in the Americas compared to Europe/Middle East etc, I'm not sure, but this is not a 5 star hotel where you will receive 5 star service. We were unable to dine at one of the hotel's restaurants as they only had one high chair, and said they were unable to source another one. Asked if we could reserve for the next evening to ensure a high chair was available, we were told it was not possible as they couldn't guarentee their one high chair would be available (rather than ensure one was available). Put a request in that the room be made up by 2pm to ensure my kids could return from their day out to have a nap. This request was not actioned, with typical times to make the room up around 3pm each day (quite late I feel). Breakfast was adequate- tipping is required even if breakfast is included in the rate, but that is a culture issue so can't complain about that. Room was not ready at 4pm and I was told to provide my mobile number and I would be called when ready. No offer of what to do in the meantime or indication of when the room would be ready. Only when I pushed back did was the room suddenly available. Staff are mixed - some very genuine and helpful "

"Pros: Area is great, there is a bodega across the street and a must try food truck next door, 20 minute walk from escambron beach and old San Juan. Staff was mostly friendly. Pool is open 24 hrs. Parking lot is large and easily accessible. Cons: Incredibly limited in-room facilities, no microwave and no hair dryer. You have to walk half a block away to get into a building where you can use a microwave. Good luck getting a hot shower, on demand water heater rapidly changes from boiling hot water to ice cold. Bathroom door was missing a handle and you could see straight inside the bathroom from the outside. You need to text for house keeping, which would be fine but during our 5 day stay we asker for house keeping twice and they did not show up either time. We had to ask the front desk for trash bags to take out our trash ourselves, also asked for a broom which they refused to give us. Didn’t apologize for lack of housekeeping service. Key pad system to enter and lock room didn’t work properly. "

"Breakfast menu was my favorite great hotel, although i believe this hotel does a lot of conferences which im not To into that, makes you feel like you have to be on your best look etc. also not sure if this is every room but the shower curtain was so small and short all the water was getting out i did not like that at all. So my nephew fell asleep with a lot of sand in his hair and we forgot to dust off the bed the next morning, but so did house keeping because they made the bed but left all the sand that wasn’t cool.also the pool area can use more chairs! But overall the hotel is great the stay was great. "

"Absolutely loved this place. Yes, it’s dated. But it had everything i needed to make my quick getaway enjoyable. A special thank you to Louis at the pool side bar. He was incredible. So attentive and thoughtful. 10/10 service from him. Pools. Jacuzzi. Beach. Everything in walking distance. Not much else you could ask for. Also, thank you to Melany, Angel and Andres for the daily text check ins and quick fixes when needed. Definitely returning. "
