"not luxury at all but front desk gentleman was amazing"

"The TRYP Hotel in Newark presents itself well on the surface. The property is attractive, reasonably priced, and the amenities are perfectly acceptable. Unfortunately, my stay was overshadowed by some of the worst customer service I have experienced at any hotel. The first room I was assigned had a cockroach on the bed linens. When I reported it to the front desk, there was no apology, no expression of concern, and no acknowledgment that this was a serious issue. The employee simply handed me a...

"Easy, comfy and clean stay!"

"The location was perfect for anyone who wants to park their cars and walk a short distance to the train station! The staff were extremely friendly and the included breakfast was of course a huge bonus! Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to visit NYC!"

"Wonderful stay at the Canopy. Close to cool spots and the PATH train. Kind staff, cool vibe. Bed was super comfortable. Can’t ask for much more. Don’t deliberate. Just do it! You can get into the Village in about 15 minutes."

"Beautiful location"

It’s the kind of warm welcome that makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just another reservation. My room was comfortable and well-appointed, exactly what you need to relax and recharge. The famous DoubleTree cookie at check-in was a nice touch too! I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it...

"Everything was perfect"

"Room was small as expected for a hotel room in manhattan, but clean. bed springs were loud and you can hear honking from the street. The area is relatively quiet though. You can hear everything from neighbors including door slamming, footsteps, and conversations. Staff were very nice overall. Location was convenient, by the 1 and not far from A/C."
