"A friendly and super helpful host and an amazing place to stay for a summery week. The pool and the surrounding trees provided respite from the hot sun, apples made for a delicious apple cake and even the earthquake did not scare us."

"The villa was lovely with outstanding views and an excellent heated pool. It is remote but we enjoyed that and found plenty to do nearby, drove further up into the mountains to look at the lakes and villages, drove to Lucca for the day which was amazing and parked right outside the walls, went to Equi Terme the caves were closed but the village is quirky and we could still walk right up to the cave entrance. Spent quite a lot of time just at the villa enjoying the views and the pool. All the bedrooms had a fan which was much appreciated in the heat and a well equipped kitchen for cooking and eating outside. Ate inside one evening due to a thunderstorm and as a previous review said it is a little cramped for a family of 5 but nothing to worry about. Track upto the villa is steep but again nothing to worry about for the average driver. The views make up for the effort as they are truly incredible. Would love to return."
